Meet Sonia
I’m an integrative trauma-responsive therapist who combines lived experience with evidence-based brain-body therapy to help women heal gently and sustainably, including deep wounds around money, safety, and self-worth.
How my story shapes my practice
I didn’t become a therapist in a classroom.
My healing journey started long before I had any qualifications, back when I was a kid who had no words for what I was feeling, only a nervous system flooded with fear.
I grew up in the 1980s, when interest rates hit 20 percent. I didn’t understand money, but I understood the tension. The silence. The way everything in the house felt tight and unsafe. That kind of stress settles into your body, and it stays.
Years later, working as a young apprentice hairdresser, I discovered something important, I had a gift for attunement. I could feel what people were not saying. I could sense the anxiety behind a smile and the exhaustion behind a “Yeah, I’m fine.”
Listening, really listening, became my way of caring for people.
It is still the foundation of my work today.
What I believe about healing
I don’t see people as broken.
I don’t rush.
I don’t push.
You have already survived more than most people will ever understand, so my job is not to fix you. It is to walk beside you while you learn how to feel safe-enough again in your own body.
That includes relational trauma, grief & loss, attachment wounds and money trauma too.
Because money is rarely just numbers. It can be safety, permission, belonging, or often shame and not feeling deserving enough – not good enough to safely receive.

If you’re holding a lot, I’m here to hold it with you
You don’t have to figure it all out at once. You don’t have to know exactly what kind of therapy you need. You just have to be willing to start.
When you’re ready, I’ll walk with you, one breath, one shift, one choice at a time.
