Hosting My First QUEST
Next Saturday, October 25th, 2025 I’ll be stepping into something both new and deeply familiar ~ hosting my first QUEST as a facilitator in accreditation, right here in Penguin, as part of our community’s 150-year celebrations.
This feels like such a full-circle moment.
To offer something heart-led and grounding, in the very town that has held me ~ and my work ~ so gently.
QUEST is a guided mindfulness experience created by artist and psychotherapist Noula Diamantopoulos ~ a practice of curiosity, reflection, and self-inquiry. It’s less about finding answers, and more about discovering what’s ready to unfold when you bring stillness and openness together.
In this special community event, I’ll be holding space for people to pause, reflect, and reconnect ~ using Tasmanian-made, hand-crafted paper from Creative Paper, Wynyard. Each person will be invited to bring one question ~ something that’s sitting gently on the edge of their awareness.
It might be:
“What am I ready to release?”
“What needs my attention right now?”
“Where is my next step calling me?”
There’s no right or wrong ~ just curiosity.
The experience will have the rhythm of something beautifully ordinary ~ like waiting your turn at the barber shop, where conversations and silences naturally weave together.
Each person takes a seat, chooses their paper, their tool of expression (e.g. pen, texta) for their moment ~ and let the process unfold by questing ~ a total of ten questions between participant and facilitator.
It’s slow, deliberate, and tender.
An invitation to come home to yourself.
I am offering this free community mindfulness activity as part of the Penguin 150 celebrations ~ a time to honour this town’s spirit of creativity, reflection, and connection.
For me, it’s also a celebration of being able to share this modality as part of my facilitator accreditation journey ~ bringing what I’ve learned through trauma-responsive practice into a space that’s playful, curious, and accessible to everyone.
Because healing doesn’t always look like therapy.
Sometimes, it looks like a community gathering ~ paper in hand, curiosity in heart, sitting quietly by the seaside, listening for what’s ready to be known.
